Interactive Dramatization Workshops
Active and in democratic processes included citizens are a base for a healthy functioning democratic society.
With the project Interactive dramatization we are promoting attitude that everyone is responsible for his/hers own life and that he/she can contribute to a better quality of living on personal as well as on the community level.
Planned year-round activities are divided in two complementing parts.
1. Interactive dramatization workshops, lead by local teacher Blanka Cmelar Hribar experienced in setting up theater plays with children.
The purpose of the dramatic play is to release emotions and individual creative potentials while giving youth experience of social action and exploring the problems characteristic for the functioning of democratic society.
2. Communication workshops, lead by psychologist Branka Drabek Milekic, are based in nonviolent communication and mediation methods.
Their purpose is to strengthen the children and youth in the recognition of their role in the society, while developing social skills, competence, self-respect, tolerance and cooperation with others.
Participants in activities are children and youth from the neighboring villages of district Caglin.
All planned year-round activities are funded by Croatian National Foundation for Civil Society Development.

Volunteer Weekends
The aim of the Volunteer-Weekends is to gather children and adults in joint activities towards learning, labor and recreation. Together the people can develop a daily plan concerning the activities and develop new ideas. Latinovac will provide space for everyone to be creative and responsible, so people can make personal experiences working in a group on the basis of cooperation and communication.
Key terms and processes that we emphasize are: creativity, discrepancy, preserving the cultural heritage, learning trough intercultural communication, expression of personal needs trough requests (here and now), in relation to the presence in the group, which, again, contributes to the quality of life.
Possible activities:
- maintenance of the Livadak domain (gardening, reconstruction, recycling)
- activities for personal growth and team development (non-violent-communication, compassionate listening)
- re/creative activities (sports, meditation, dance, walking, hiking, music)
Before each weekend the program will be specified and sent to everyone interested.

Stay at ECL
There is furthermore the opportunity for volunteers to be at the ECL apart from the weekends. The volunteers as a group or a single person can use all the facilities (sleeping space, kitchen, internet, garden, etc.) and enjoy the relaxing and beautiful surroundings of Latinovac. ECL would ask for two hours of work, so the volunteers will be connected with the project, and 20 Kuna (2-3 €) per day to cover water and electricity.
Interested persons can contact ECL!
