Program 2006 - improving infrastructure

To support our growth into the future, the year 2006 will be dedicated to renovating our infrastructure.
As the groups we are hosting become larger, we are aware that we spend more and more time on arranging basic needs for sleeping, sanitation and keeping dry. By improving this in a focussed, joint effort, we will have more time next years on developing the program.
In this way we can create an environment capable of supporting the reconciliation work we are engaged in, increasing Eko Center Latinovac’s capacity
for being of service in this post war region of the Balkans.

Planned additional activities for summer

• Evening fires w/ music, stories, games etc…
• Talent shows with each group
• Fresh bread baking
• “Peace Table” – meals with specialities from the participants' local kitchen
• Vegetable and flower garden
• Sunday excursions and rest days
• Weekend workshops – periodic workshops as the program develops

Costs for overhead

Bare minimum costs – 100 kuna/15 euros/$17 per person per day
Includes utilities, food, staff cook
Westerners coming for shorter fixed periods - 15 euros/$17 per person per day
Longer term interns (one month) – 7.50 euros per day/225 euros per month
• Please raise money for our work, this fee is half of our expenses to support you!
